Amway India Enterprises posted a flat growth in 2013 in some southern states and now Amway India is expanding its presence with a plan to launch home appliances product in India.
Mr. Anshu Budhraja , CFO of Amway India said “In 2-3 years, Amway India is planning to introduce ‘Home–tech’ range of products including ICook Brand of Cookware, atmosphere air purifiers and E-spring Water purifiers in the Indian market. In India we have around 140 products under personnel care, home care, beauty, nutrition and insurance, while globally we have over 450 products in different categories.”
First, Amway India will import the products and then they will invite vendors to manufacture the products in the country. Globally Home appliances accounts 10 percent of Amway’s revenue, and in the Asian market, including China, it accounts 10 percent of the sales.
Now the company is going to work on pricing and supply. The supply will be continued through the same channel of distribution through their business associates.
